We both LOVE Milwaukee and plan to renew our lease for one more term next month. However, sometime in the first quarter of 2020 we plan to buy a house in the Lake County area of Illinois just outside of Chicago.

Being avid watchers of “Fixer Upper”, “Flip or Flop”, and “Property Brothers”, we have decided to take on our own fixer upper. The idea is to buy something well under our budget, in a great neighborhood, and then invest a sizable amount of money to renovate and customize it into our dream house.

I’ve studied real estate for a longtime now and have experience flipping houses when I lived in Arizona. Avery has a terrific eye for design, colors, and has even begun learning how to use an interior design software. This has become a mutual dream of ours that we fantasize about every time we are watching our shows together.

We have not drawn up a traditional wedding present registry because as you will appreciate, it will be difficult to carry gifts back to Milwaukee, WI from the Dominican Republic. As we are currently saving up for our home, gifts in the form of money would be preferred.

Regardless if you decide to gift us money, or to simply to provide your love and support, know that it is contributing to a long thought out dream, our home, and a place we can start our lives together. And for that, we are eternally grateful
